In a tragic incident, Dartmouth College student Won Jang drowned after attending an off-campus party this summer. Now, Alpha Phi sorority and two members of Beta Alpha Omega fraternity are facing charges. The party, hosted by Alpha Phi and fueled by alcohol from Beta Alpha Omega, saw most attendees underage. Post-party, several attendees, including Jang, decided to swim in the Connecticut River. A sudden rainstorm hit, causing most to leave, leaving Jang behind. Despite not being able to swim, Jang was left behind, leading to his untimely death. Dartmouth had suspended both Greek organizations at the time of the incident, and they remain suspended.
