Kamala Harris on Her Values, Day One Priorities and Flip-Flops as President
In her first interview with the media since becoming the presumptive nominee, Kamala Harris discussed her values, day one priorities, and policy flip-flops as President. Harris said she has 'a number of things' in mind for day one priorities, including supporting and strengthening the middle class, implementing her plan for an opportunity economy, and extending the child tax credit. She also said she has no plans to ban fracking and that her values have not changed. However, she has been accused of flip-flopping on key policies such as energy, Medicare for All, and semiautomatic rifle buyback programs. Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, sat down for an interview with CNN anchor Dana Bash.
