In a shocking turn of events, a pro-Russia paramilitary leader from eastern Ukraine, Armen Sarkisyan, was assassinated in a bomb blast in Moscow. The attack, which also killed one of his bodyguards and injured three more, was a well-planned assassination, according to Russian authorities. Sarkisyan was accused by Ukraine of aiding Russia's war in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk. The SBU intelligence service had previously described him as a 'crime boss' in the Donetsk region.
