South Korean President Yoon Faces Impeachment and Arrest
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol's impeachment trial has begun**. He's accused of trying to enforce martial law, which led to the country's worst political crisis in decades. If at least six of the eight Constitutional Court justices approve the impeachment, Yoon will be removed from office. Yoon has been holed up in his residence, refusing to attend court or meet with investigators. Despite this, he'll receive a pay rise, sparking outrage among some South Koreans. Rival protests, both for and against Yoon, have been taking place in Seoul since the crisis began.
